The project aimed to revamp ASPCA's branding through logo redesign, motion graphics, patterns, products, website, and Instagram ads, effectively capturing the organization's mission with symbolic illustrations.
The aim of this project was to choose an advocacy organization and enhance its branding. This involved redesigning and creating various branding materials such as redesigning their logo, creatijng motion graphics, patterns, branded products, website, and Instagram advertisements. The organization i chose to redesign and focus on was ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), which is a non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding animals from cruelty, abuse, and neglect. Their mission is to implement effective measures for the prevention of animal cruelty nationwide.
In my redesign, I strive to capture the organization's broad scope of concerns by incorporating illustrations that distinctly represent the mission of animal protection. This includes depictions of a cat and a dog, with a person in the background and a house symbolizing shelter and protection. Each element holds significant importance in relation to the organization's mission.
To initiate the rebranding process, I began by redesigning their logo. The current ASPCA logo is quite plain, featuring gray and orange typeface. I aimed to recreate it, enhancing readability and reflecting the organization's mission of aiding animals through visual elements. Moreover, I sought to convey a sense of human compassion towards animals, in line with ASPCA's mission to prevent cruelty. The logo was designed to exude friendliness, hopefulness, and kindness. During the logo design process, I considered how the sub-logos would complement the main logo and its design elements, keeping in mind the organization's core activities: providing a safe community for animals and pet owners, relocating animals to safer locations, advocating for animal rights, and rescuing animals from natural disasters and challenging situations.
